If you don’t know what is different about this tutorial than any of my others, watch this video: www.youtube.com I will not tell you any more detail about any of the products I used beyond what is said in the video. Sorry! Otherwise what is the point of challenging you to figure out alternatives and use what you have? I’m only doing 5 tutorials in this style, so don’t worry.
I have had this watch for a couple of years and I don’t know much about it. All I know is that it is 14K gold and I think it is self winding.
Here are some pictures of it:
Im looking for a necklace that is either silver or gold. It would be on a long chain. The tricky part is, I want the pendant to be a clock! Not like a Flava Flav clock necklace, but one of those old time necklaces! Like a pocket watch only on a chain around your neck! haha is this even possible? If so, is there a proper name for it? Does anyone know where to find one?

Someone offered to buy me a fine watch for my birthday coming up soon and I am having a lot of trouble making up my mind and I was hoping I could get some opinions. Should I get a new wristwatch or a vintage pocketwatch? For example I am considering a new Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea, or a 100 year old Vacheron and Constantin gold pocketwatch in mint condition that comes with the original box. I more than likely would not be wearing either watch and they both cost about the same. All I want to know is which one would you get if you were me? Which is the better investment and which one do you think would be the most desirable to own? Answers appreciated!
While I appreciate all answers I am talking about an authentic watch not a replica or fake. I am talking about a ten thousand dollar watch. Serious answers please.
At Baselworld 2010, Tudor has unveiled its new Heritage Chrono watch to join the Tudor Sport collection. The timepiece is a reinterpretation of the brands famous Oysterdate Chronograph born in the early 1970s. Introducing modern design codes that confirm everything is better the second time around, all the lines of this storied timepiece have been mindfully reformulated to echo, with a contemporary spin, the exquisite contours of the coveted chronograph and of the racing cars at the historic, technical and aesthetic heart of its creation. The new Tudor Heritage Chrono watch celebrates the historic relationship between Tudor and Porsche and the values they share. In particular, it pays tribute to the powerful Tudor-Porsche Motorsport partnership born in 2009 the watchmaking company became Timing Partner during the Porsche international one-make cups. The dial is available in a few versions – grey on black or black on gray. It is highlighted by orange features and is completed with 3-D appliques rather than printed pentagonal hour markers and two counters. The 45-minute totalizer found at 9 oclock echoes the counter of the 1970s model. The dial also features the small seconds counter at 3 oclock and a small date window at 6 oclock. It is shielded by a sapphire crystal. The steel case of the new Heritage Chrono watch has become thicker, wider and sleeker, measuring 42 mm instead of 40 mm of its 1970s forerunner. The case construction incorporates the reference 7033 …
This watch is for sale NOW HERE cgi.ebay.com I don’t know how to set the time on this watch, but when I wound up the dial, the miniature seconds hand began moving, and I realized this watch is working. Says 10k RGP Bezel Stainless Back and Copyright Hamilton on the back. It doesn’t have numbers like a regular watch, but rather marks denoting each hour. In addition, it has an interesting art deco design at the top denoting the 12 position. I am positive this watch could be restored, polished back to a beautiful golden luster and equipped with a new watch band. Upon opening the watch case I discovered its perfectly preserved and beautiful inner workings. Inscribed on its surface are the words “Hamilton 686″ and “Seventeen Jewels”. Its little mechanical motor was whirring right along! Inside the watch bezel I also discovered a tiny inscribed signature along with an apparent date of February 1964 (04/64) I can’t make out the signature. It make actually say “on 1 hand” I’m not sure. It also has the Acronym “MMFT”.
It’s really unusual and beautiful! The glass is almost amber-colored and I believe it is real gold. The 12 is where the 3 should be, so that if you hold your hand straight up, it is in correct position to read. I have not been able to get this watch out of my head because I have never seen one since and have not been able to find anything on it. Someone did tell me that this could be a "driving" watch from the 30-40’s. She lives miles away and I don’t want to act too interested, I’m hoping it will be left to me in her will…
